Hi my name is Kate and I have worked at the Tortoise & the Hair for the majority of my career. I am still shocked when I think that I have been doing hair for over 20 years. During that time I have been able to work with some amazing companies and work with amazing stylist as well. At the salon, I am a mentor for our associate program which helps the next generation of stylists to come. Allowing younger stylists to experience the success that I have had during my journey is what keeps my drive. I love everything about this business, from the technical part of doing hair itself, to the social part of getting to know each and everyone of my guests.  It’s been a true honor to stand behind the chair each day, and help my guests feel beautiful from the inside out.

 

My passion is for CURLS! I am certified in Ouidad and Rëzo cutting techniques. Using the best techniques for individual hair goals allows me to deliver the best cut for every curl type. Helping people love their natural hair textures is so rewarding for me. Being able to show my guests how to embrace their curls and see them smile is like nothing I've experienced before. So many guests have had such bad experiences in the past, it makes me happy to meet their hair goals with them.
